Things are about to change rapidly in the PA sports betting market with July numbers coming out, and SugarHouse absolutely dominating its competitors according to PAsportsbooks.com.
We now look to football season to see which betting site will take the reigns and lead the market in Pennsylvania. While four sites are alive and established, the biggest brand name will be live prior to week one. DraftKing Sportsbook PA is expected to launch before the start of football season, and will likely go head-to-head with longtime DFS rival and almost partner, FanDuel Sportsbook, which took in $3.2 million in bets in just under 10 days at the end of July.
DraftKings, like FanDuel, will likely feature an iOS app, setting it apart from the likes of SugarHouse and BetRivers.
It will also eventually feature the DraftKings' online casino in PA.
DraftKings is known for its wide, varied action, including live betting, sportsbook pools, odds boosters, and all sorts of props and parlays. They offer among the most action in the legal and online betting space. Additionally, they offer tie-ins with their daily fantasy product, serving up bets related to DFS rosters of their customers.
Additionally, in PA, they will feature an online casino.
In New Jersey, they just rolled out their own live blackjack studio, branded with DraftKings, with dealers in sports jerseys, and eventually sports on the TVs behind them.
They will eventually bring this and other casino offerings to PA, offering a one-stop shop for online betters in the Keystone state.
So, while much of the fanfare early on has focused on Sugar House and now FanDuel, it might be DraftKings Sportsbook, a late entrance to the fray, to be the one to dominate the first year of PA betting.
